In order to contribute to the training of young scholars and research activity in the field of rheumatic diseases, the Association STUDI IN REUMATOLOGIA ANTONIO SPADARO, in collaboration with the Italian Society of Rheumatology, has established an award in memory of Antonio Spadaro, for young scholars holding scientific communication concerning rheumatic diseases.
The award consists of reimbursments up to a maximum of 1000 Euros covering the expenses to partecipate, within one year, at scientific meetings or congress. The award in the year 2016, was awarded to Dr. Mariagrazia Lorenzin, for the best oral presentation on spondyloarthritis to 53th National Congress of the Italian Society of Rheumatology, on “Correlation of biomarkers, indices of activity and imaging in the axial spondyloarthritis of recent onset: data from a single center (Space Study) ” by M.Lorenzin, A.Ortolan, P.Frallonardo, S.Vio, F.Oliviero, M.Zaninotto, C. Cosma, C.Lacognata, L. Punzi, R.Ramonda (Padova).
The award ceremony took place in Rimini on the final day of the Congress.
